Flute Fun!

I sometimes play my flute for the children. I sit on the floor right at their level and play something from their cirriculum for them. After I play a song, I go around the singing circle to each child. I blow in the mouthpiece to produce a sound and they are free to explore (sitting on their adult's lap, of course)the keys to produce variations in sound. We had been practicing blowing for a few weeks as a precursor to playing a woodwind instrument (they begin that when they are 5, 6, or 7). Well, one particular evening, one curious youngster in my Our Time class grabbed the opposite end and proceeded to blow in THAT hole!!! She wanted to blow too!! A lesson well learned!
