One huge benefit of coming to Kindermusik class is bonding and sharing with other mom's. One mom of a 5 month old baby girl was sharing today her success with infant potty training. I have heard of this before and it made great sense. I was happy that she was sharing and the other moms were very interested in hearing. You may learn more at www.natural-wisdom.com/index.htm Moms share all kinds of things with each other in the Village class. Socialization is important for everyone, especially new moms!

I don't watch television so I didn't know until last week that infant potty training has been all over the news as the new "thing" for babies. It is an ancient practice (although without a special "potty"). Indian women have kept buckets all over the house for their convience throughout the day as they are working. It helps to hold your little one most of the time so you don't miss their cues. Also, some tribal peoples (as they are mostly outside and even inside they have dirt floors) just hold their baby away from them when they need to relieve themselves. Babies can hold it a few minutes so with a little time, it becomes easier. Also, if you make a "sssssss" noise when they are going, they will learn to make that noise to communicate to you more clearly that they need assistance in relieving themselves. I really think this is a great bonding for caregivers and babies (not to mention saving on diapers!)
